What is 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten?

This program is a great way to read with your preschooler and start your child's love of books.

How do I participate?

Stop by the library and we can either give you a physical tracking sheet or we can help you download the app to get started. Please note that using the app is optional and you can complete this program entirely on paper.

Do we have to read specific books?

No! The books you choose to read to your little one is completely up to you. It even counts if you read the same book multiple times.

How often do I have to check in at the library?

You can stop by and show us your progress each time you read 100 books. We have a measuring chart in the storytime room to track your child's progress!
