The Friends of the Adel Public Library Foundation is a 501c charitable organization dedicated to the support and promotion of the library.The Friends Foundation was formed in 2014 by the merger of the Adel Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Adel Public Library. Friends work to support various library activities, programs, and projects through fund raising and volunteer support. Each year the Foundation holds many activities, including our popular Book Sale each August and Bake Sale each October, to help the library take advantage of resources beyond our budget.

In addition to fund raising, Friends also serve as library volunteers, provide home bound outreach, and work at special events. Any level of participation is welcome, from a few hours each month, to once or twice a year at special events.
The library hosts several events to honor the Friends Foundation, including an annual Luncheon and a Soup Luncheon. Each event includes a meal and a presentation or program and they occur several times each year.
Stop by the library to sign up to be a Friend of the library and join the Foundation. Annual membership fees are $5.00 for an individual or $10.00 for a family, while a lifetime membership is just $50.00! Become a Friend of the library.
