    Winter is almost behind us!

    spring Tea

Spring begins on March 20 and to celebrate, the library is holding a Spring Tea – the seventh in a series of adult programs at the Adel Public Library.  The Tea will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 2 p.m. in the library community room.  Miriam Dunlap of Atherton House will be the guest speaker.  Learn about Easter season folk lore, Easter egg designs, and the Old Woman and the Tulip Fairies.

Sample various kinds of tea and enjoy delicious goodies.  It’s a dress-up affair.  Spring hats are in order if you have one!

To register, call the library at 993-3512 or stop by and sign up in the program book.

Another adult program is set for Friday, March 27 at 7 p.m. for those who have participated in the Adult Winter Reading Program.  There will be an interactive murder mystery game, prizes, and refreshments.  Please let Lynne know if you plan to attend.

Preschool Story Time has been growing by leaps and bounds so another session has been added.  Parents and care-givers can bring their children on Mondays or Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.  Toddler Time will still be on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., and Library Babies Lapsit will be on Wednesday, March 11 and 25 at 10:30 a.m.  Contact the library for more information.

A Veggie Tales Family Movie Night will be held in the library community room on Friday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m.  Children must be accompanied by adults.

Other programs include Scrapbooking on Friday, March 13 at 6 p.m. (bring a snack to share), Brown Bag Book Club on Monday, March 30 at noon, and the Evening Book Club on Thursday, March 26 at 7 p.m.  Books for both clubs are available at the front desk.
